Home

Welcome!

We are so glad that you have visited us. If you are looking for a home church, we want to connect with you!

For over 60 years, Crabtree Church has been part of the spiritual heartbeat of Harpenden. We are a multi-generational church family, shaped by our history and excited for our future.

Rooted in God’s faithfulness, our heart is simple: to share the love of Jesus with our community in a real and meaningful way.

Whether you have been in Harpenden for years or just passing through, there is a place for you here.

Free on-site parking is available.

Sunday Service

We meet every Sunday at 10:30am in the main building at the rear of the property. Our services are relaxed, easy to engage with, and usually last around 90 minutes. You can expect uplifting worship, practical Bible teaching, and a friendly welcome.

Parents, we want you to be able to fully relax and engage. While you are in the service, your children will be in a safe, fun environment specifically designed for them to encounter God in ways that are meaningful and memorable.

If you prefer to keep your family together, your children are always welcome to stay with you in the main service – we truly love the sound of “joyful noise” in our church!

Most Recent Sermon

  • Easter Sunday
On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.

Community Activities

  • Oasis Coffee & Chat
On the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month (10:00–11:30am), we host Oasis Coffee & Chat – a relaxed and welcoming time to meet others, enjoy conversation, and find encouragement. Tea, coffee, and cold drinks are available, but more importantly, there is always a listening ear. Whether you are feeling isolated, navigating a difficult season, or grieving the loss of a loved one, you are welcome to come just as you are.
  • Welcome to Little Fishes!
Little Fishes is a warm and welcoming group for babies, toddlers, and their grown-ups! We meet every Thursday during term time from 9:30–11:00am for play, songs, and lots of ‘joyful noise’.
  • St Albans Foodbank at Crabtree Church
The Foodbank is run by the St Albans & District Foodbank in association with the Trussell Trust. It is open Fridays from 1:00–3:00pm, and is located in the Crabtree Church front hall. For all enquiries, please visit the St Albans & District Foodbank website: https://stalbansdistrict.foodbank.org.uk/
